Cargo Insurance
Many customers believe that the forwarding agent has the liability of their goods in transit. We want to dispel the myth. The liability for loss or damage of goods is limited to SDR. 8,33 which is approximately 70 DKK per kilo.
In case a disaster strikes this amount may not be sufficient to cover the customers losses. To support our customers, FREJA therefore offers a cargo insurance signed with Cargosafe.
Cargosafe is a cooperation between Danish Freight Forwarders and the insurance company Tryg through which the cargo insurance is offered at competitive prices. With Tryg the cargo insurance covers the totality of the insured value and can be signed without excess. After notification of damage, Tryg takes over the administrative work. Damage sum is paid before the accountability, hence the relationship between customer and transporter is not influenced by legal disputes. The injury treatment is effective and the waiting time for repairing of damages/replacement of goods is minimal.
