Jørgen J. Hansen founded FREJA in 1985, and these values have remained at the heart of our company ever since. Today, FREJA is a dynamic, internationally oriented transport company with clear commitment to meeting customer needs.

Prize-winning growth
Since 1985, FREJA’s average annual growth rate has been around 20 percent. In 1999, we won our first of four GAZELLE prizes, awarded by Denmark’s business daily, Børsen, to fast-growing companies. And we won Danish “Entrepreneur of the Year” in the service category in 2007.
FREJA’s history
| Established in 1985, FREJA began to expand rapidly in 1990 when it acquired a subsidiary in Copenhagen. Further acquisitions followed, and by 1996 we were operating in markets around the Nordic region from our base in Denmark. In 1997, FREJA A/S became FREJA Transport & Logistics A/S – and, as the name suggests, we began providing our customers with total logistics solutions.
We took over Maa ja Meri Oy in Finland in 2003, and have since established offices in Sweden and Norway – either by acquiring successful local companies or setting up our own offices.

- Finland: Helsinki, Turku and Vaasa
- Norway: Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger
